The Dubai Airshow has come to an end — a great event on a very human scale.
Many local and international space companies were present, and I had the pleasure of spending four amazing days at the ASTech booth alongside friendly and enthusiastic aerospace SMEs in the French Pavilion.
I made many new contacts and was glad to reconnect with familiar faces.
Each day brought a key highlight:
– Visit to the GIFAS booth by Samia Oulmi (SVP Procurement) and Frederic Deladerriere (Group Director Export Control) at EDGE — a great opportunity to better understand FADA ’s role.
– Visit to the GIFAS booth by French Ambassador Nicolas Niemtchinow.
– Presentation on space activities in the UAE by Christelle Astorg-Lepine (Centre National d’Études Spatiales), hosted by Thierry CLOUTET at the Airbus chalet — emphasizing the importance of French team collaboration in a highly competitive international landscape.
– UAE–France–India Space Forum with Ambassador Nicolas NIEMTCHINOW, H.E. Salem Butti Salem Al Qubaisi (Director General of UAE Space Agency), Jean-marc ASTORG (Centre National d’Études Spatiales), and others — a valuable moment to witness strong trilateral cooperation and engage with Indian companies.
– Visit of IGA Arvind Badrinath and DGA Patrick Pailloux (DGA – Direction générale de l’armement) to the ASTech booth — giving me the opportunity to present GAEL Systems’ activities.
A big thank you to ASTech Paris Region for the excellent organization before and during the show, and thank you to GIFAS – Groupement des Industries Françaises Aéronautiques et Spatiales for arranging the events and meetings.
